Dwarka city has proved to be one of the most prominent territories in the state. This city is considered to be a holy city and there are many religious places here. Dwarka has a great historical background and it was built by Vishwakarma with the order of Lord Krishna. It is believed that the city was submerged around 3138 BC. But with the help of archaeological founders, this city was revived and came into existence.

Jam Khambhalia is the head quaters of the newly created formed Devbhumi Dwarka District which was carved out of Jamnagar district on 15 August 2013. The named Devbhumi Dwarka is derived from the famous Dwarkadhish Temple of Dwraka city which is one of the four holy places according to Hindu mythology.

Devbhumi  Dwarka district is situated in Saurashtra Region of Gujarat State.

This District is surrounded by Arabian sea, Jamnagar District and Porbandar District

Location : Latitude – 21.89º N to 22.31º N, Longitude – 69.33º E to 69.71º E

Devbhumi Dwarka having 2 Prant, with 4 Talukas, 249 Villages,  6 Nagarpalika.

Devbhumi Dwarka District comprises of two sub-division named Khambhalia and Dwarka. Khambhalia sub division includes Khambhaliya and Bhanvad talukas while Dwarka sub division includes Okha-mandal and Kalyanpur talukas.
